"Duke Monkey" (aka "Tickles")
January 2008
Client project for Duke University, through BioDigital Systems. Tweaked the monkey model for good deformations, rigged, animated, piped remodeled head (from project lead) into animated model, rendered (w/ fur), & composited. Piece aired on NBC Nightly News and was featured on the MSN.com main homepage as the video highlight of the day.

"The World is a Steam Engine"
January 2008
Rigged a steam engine for Koichi Nakai's thesis project. Project is currently in production, finishing end of April.

"PS3 Dominoes"
December 2007
Final project for Technical Directing class and Dynamics class. I did everything, except for shooting the footage. I tracked the background plates in Boujou and set up the rigid body dynamics system and rendered in Maya, & composited in Fusion.

"Dragon Landscape"
December 2007
Final project for Compositing & Painting class. Generated matte painting from found images, separated into foreground/background cards, animated camera move & sky-plate in Maya, animated smoke with Maya's 2d fluid dynamics, and composited in Fusion.
At some point, I would like to animate a dragon jumping off the rock and flying off toward the smoking peaks. If you want a crack at it though, be my guest. I'd be glad to work with a character animator on it!

"Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Surgery"
Spring 2007
Excerpt from final project for Medical Visualization class, which is being used as a training video for medical students and surgeons in their residency. Worked on 4-person team. Developed shader-based string solution, which was also used for the robot rig in "I Heart Nerd" (below). Did most of the animation as well.

"I Heart Nerd" - Technical Demo
Spring 2007
Part of a 3 week group animation competition. Demo of facial blendshape setup, and shader-based tube solution that I scripted, which was used by the rigger working on the robot. (Shader-tube script originally developed for "AAA surgery" - above.)
(See below for the actual piece.)

"I Heart Nerd"
Spring 2007
Created in 3 weeks with fellow NYU CADA students for Animadness 2007 group competition. Fixed geometry issues, did partial skin weighting after auto-rigger setup, created and set up all facial blend shapes, wrote script used in robot's arms and body rig, animated the crying shot, and animated the slap + glasses fix shot.

"Life in Vein"
Fall 2006
Maya I final project, first semester of grad school.
